The Dancing with the Stars pro, Karina Smirnoff, said yes to Major League Baseball pitcher Brad Penny. Brad Penny proposed to her on October 4. Brad penny is 32 years old and is a pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals. Brad Penny has also played for the Florida Marlins, the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Boston Red Sox, and the San Francisco Giants.

"We kept it quiet because my family is in New York and Brad's family is in Oklahoma so we kind of wanted them to come out and celebrate and be a family first before we let the cat out of the bag," she told People.

The wedding is not planned yet. Karina Smirnoff and Brad Penny originally met through a mutual friend, the UFC fighter Chuck Liddell.

As far as baseball is concerned, nbcsports.com reports that Penny the pitcher can be hired freely this winter. He be a free agent and might go for a one-year deal like the $7.5 million one that he scored last offseason from St. Louis.
