UFO Press Conference: UFO Activity Near Nuclear Sites

CNN reports on UFO activity near nuclear sites.

Robert Hastings, a UFO researches says:"These UFO's are sending signals to Washington and Moscow that playing around with nuclear weapons is not good and is threatening the live on the this planet".

UFO's are often a matter of speculation and witnesses are often considered crazy if they dare to speak about those unidentified flying objects.

During a UFO News conference, six former U.S. Air Force officers and one former enlisted man are talking about UFO's that were seen around nuclear missile sites. They plan to urge the government to publicly confirm the incidents, stating that they were ordered never to discuss the events.

As all these reports of UFO sightings have not been confirmed by government authorities, they leave a lot of room for speculation.

RIM's new BlackBerry PlayBook Against Apple iPad

RIM released detailed information on it's new BlackBerry PlayBook, which is scheduled to be released early next year. The new tablet device looks almost like the Apple iPad.

The BlackBerry PlayBook's most obvious disadvantage: it's not from Apple. And that is probably it's only disadvantage. Based on how the machine looks and how it is presented and what the specs say, the iPad most definitely is getting some serious competition with the PlayBook.

Here is what you can expect:

With the new BlackBerry PlayBook you can surf the Web without Limits. The tablet device is ideal for games, media, apps and everything else Internet offers. It has Adobe Flash 10.1 and offers support for HTML 5 right out of the box.

It features a 7'' LCD display with a 1024 x 600 screen resolution, weighs 0.9 lbs and gives access to the internet via the built-in Wi-Fi connector. That it has a touch screen is self explanatory. The device operates on the Blackberry tablet OS.

Lindsay Lohan to Be Out of Jail on Bail

"News: Lindsay Wins Appeal, Gets Out of Jail!"

As we reported Lindasy Lohan went back to jail earlier today. That was based on a decision of Judge Elden Fox, who denied to let Lindsay Lohan out on bail. This decision was against California law, as TMZ reported. Now it looks like Lindsay Lohan could be free soon.

Judge Patricia Schnegg, Assistant Supervising Judge for the L.A. County Criminal Courts rules in an appeal that the decision of Judge Fox was violating California law. Lindsay Lohan was kept in jail on alleged misdemeanors. In that case California law gives the defendant the right to get out of jail on bail. Lindsay Lohan obviously made use of her rights and should be out soon. TMZ expects her to be out within a couple hours.

The appeal was filed by Shawn Chapman Holley, Lindsay Lohan's lawyer.

Once LiLo is out of jail, she will have to wear a SCRAM bracelet and make sure that she stays away from any drug scene.  She may also not associate with known drug users, and must submit to random search by law enforcement.

As hollywoodnews.com reports the bail was not exactly cheap, $300,000 to be exact. But better that then staying in jail.

Plano Balloon Festival 2010

Emma Stone has been in a good amount of movies and she is definitely moving her way up to becoming a A-list actress. Stone is very good at playing roles that other actors or actresses can't just get down that easily.

Stone is very good with humor and can portray that in the films she plays in. She is very smart too and makes that come out in the movies she stars in. She is chosen for roles that might be tough for other people to do, but she does them with such ease.

People enjoy watching Stone on the screen since she has this innocent side of her, but then when asked to be a bit on the sexual side, she can easily convert to that too. She has some very good talent.

Her character is different than what we are used to seeing of Stone, her character in some parts of the movie definitely uses her sexual side. In the movie she gets a reputation for being "easy". But she uses this reputation to her advantage.

The nice thing about this movie is that it doesn't advocate sex among teens, but it shows the disadvantages and that people can get hurt when sex is just so easily thrown around. But at the same time the movie doesn't show all of that in a strict or "you cant' have sex" way.

The movie is very well made and it has a strong communication that it is trying to get across.

Hurricane Karl Prepares for Landfall Along the Gulf Coast of Mexico

The center of major Hurricane Karl is expected to make landfall along the Gulf coast of Mexico within the next few hours. Karl currently has winds of up to 120 miles per hour, making it a category 3 hurricane on the Saffir-Simpson scale.

Hurricane Karl is currently a powerful hurricane, although little change in strength is forecast before it makes landfall. It is expected, however, that Karl will weaken after landfall. Karl will still remain a powerful hurricane, and will be a huge hazard to the people living where it is going to impact.

A hurricane warning is in effect for the coast of Mexico from Veracruz to Cabo Rojo.

A hurricane watch is in effect for the coast of Mexico north of Cabo Rojo to La Cruz.

Lo Bosworth Is Going to Get Married

Diaspora Developer Release Finally Available

When earlier this year Facebook was being attacked by many people for its privacy failures, a group of students from NYU decided that they would try to build an open source social network that would be private and secure. They decided to get funding through Kickstarter. Their need funding was $10,000, they ended up getting over $100,000. This enabled them to have as much money as they needed and a lot more to make a really great platform. It's been in development for a while now and its first developer release is now available.

At first, people were skeptical that Diaspora (the social network) would succeed. It got the funding and also some initial press coverage, however, many people didn't believe that a group of students could actually ship a functioning product. However, now it seems that people had no reason to be skeptical. The product is there, and the demand is there too.

Diaspora is billed as "the privacy aware, personally controlled, do-it-all, open source social network." Their key marketing strategy is the privacy control. That is what is making people want it. Facebook's privacy controls just keep getting more complicated, so a secure network like Diaspora is very welcome.

Diaspora will not be hosted on a central server, rather, its creators encision Diaspora as being installed on computers across the world in a distributed network--sort of like a BitTorrent for social networking--this would enable people to have their own sort of network.

This release of Diaspora is the first developer release. The team points out that it's hardly bug-free or complete. However, it does include the main features that they originally wanted.

There's still a ways to go for Diaspora before it can truly be called a Facebook competitor, however, when it does come out as a fully functioning public release, we will be quick to try it out.

Tropical Storm Karl Becomes Hurricane Karl

Earlier this morning, Tropical Storm Karl became Hurricane Karl. Hurricane Karl is a category one hurricane with maximum wind speeds of 75 miles per hour. According to the National Hurricane Center, it is likely that Karl will strengthen before making landfall over Mexico. It is even possible that the storm will approach major hurricane strength (at least 111 mile per hour winds) before making landfall.

There are a few watches and warnings in effect:

A hurricane warning is in effect for the coast of Mexico from Palma Sola to Cabo Rojo.

A hurricane watch is in effect for the coast of Mexico north of Cabo Rojo to La Cruz.

A tropical storm warning is in effect for the coast of Mexico north of Cabo Rojo to La Cruz, and for the coast of Mexico south of Palma Sola to Veracruz.

Hurricane Karl is currently moving towards the west at near 12 miles per hour. On the forecast track, the center of Karl will cross the southwestern Gulf of Mexico today through early Friday. Karl is forecast to move near or over the coast of mainland Mexico late Friday or Friday night.

Hurricane Karl's passage over Mexico is expected to bring a dangerous storm surge that will raise water levels by as much as 6 to 9 feet above normal tide levels. Also, that surge is expected to be accompanied by large and destructive waves. Karl is also expected to produce rainfall accumulations of 5 to 10 inches across the central and southern Mexican Gulf Coast region. Isolated amounts of 15 inches are possible in the interior mountains.

Tropical storm conditions are expected by Friday, with hurricane conditions forecast to be present by late Friday and Friday night.

Democrats Attempt to Rebrand Their Website, and Logo

Democrats have been having the political "climate" turning against the for a while. As a result, the party has decided that it's time for a rebranding. Central to this overhaul is a new website and logo. The website has been made on a minimalist idea, however, it's very, very different from what it was all like previously, so it's not yet know whether or not it will be a success. The website is very basic, with a stark white background.

The new Democrat's logo has been redesigned. It used to have block "DNC" letters. These were filled with a U.S. flag pattern. This logo has been replaced with a simple capital letter, "D" inside a blue outline of a circle. It's very simple and minimalist.

Their new tagline is, "Change That Matters," it's obviously based on Obama's famous speeches on change.

Generally, it's not smart to change a logo once you have one in place, because it becomes what you are know for. Imagine if Coca Cola changed the font of their famous logo. You would never know it was them. Personally, however, I think it's good that they have decided on a simpler, more attractive logo. It may take a while to be adopted, but when it does, it will probably be better than the old one.

Now, a new site, tagline and logo are hardly going to ensure that the party stays in power into 2011, however, if the new look is accompanied by a new social media strategy and they continue their foray into web promotion, they may have a chance to win back the young voters who put the party in power in 2006 and 2008.

Michele Bundy Causes Shannon Sharpe to Step Down from CBS

Shannon Sharpe is currently taking a leave of absence from his position as an analyst at CBS's NFL Today Show. He is taking this leave in the light of a sexual assault allegation from Michele Bundy.

The former NFL tight end for the Denver Broncos has made this decision after a temporary restraining order was slapped on hims after a petition was filed on Thursday by Bundy in Atlanta's Fulton County Superior Court.

In a statement, Shannon Sharpe said, "I have decided to step aside from the NFL Today, until this matter is resolved." By the NFL Today, he means the CBS Pregame Show.

These allegations may have serious consequences for Sharpe's career.

A hearing is scheduled regarding the sexual assault allegations. It's scheduled to occur on September 20. Details of Michele Bundy's petition are not publicly available as it has been classified under "family violence" since she is caring for a child.

Sharpe is being considered for the NFL Hall of Fame. Sharpe hasn't been charged with any crimes, he has not been arrested either. This means that he's probably pretty safe for now.

It could be that it's all just a scam anyways, and that it will soon blow over. That would be what is best for Sharpe. It would allow him to go on with his life without any more trouble.

It would be really good if people like Sharpe could stay out of trouble, and could set a better example for children and teenagers. Famous people are, after all, most people's biggest role models. Brian Austin Green Thinks Megan Fox Is a Great Parent

Megan Fox and Brian have been together for a very long time and during their relationship she has been the step-mom of Brian's son. Brian thinks that Megan is truly great at parenting and that she does such a good job with his son.

His son is 8 years-old and he really likes Megan as his step-mom. She is very good with him and she has no complaints about being his step-mom. She enjoys parenting and it shows.

It is really nice when a person can come into a family and really fit into the family well, without any problems. In this case, Fox just really fit into Green's life and she just took on the role of being the mom for his son. It just all worked out so well for all of them.

Brian's son is very special to the both of them since he was one of the very few guests at Megan and Brian's private marriage ceremony.

Ever since Megan and Brian have been together Megan has really been their for his son. He has really become attached to her and it is only natural that she is his mother. She takes such good care of him and they act as if she were his birth mother.

Apple AirPrint Beta Version Released to Developers

Apple has announced that it is releasing a beta version of its new AirPrint wireless printing for iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch. This beta release will only be available to members of Apple's iOS developer program. AirPrint will be included for free in iOS 4.2 software update which will be released in November. AirPrint allows you to print through Wi-Fi, without the need to install drivers or software. HP's existing and new upcoming ePrint enabled printers will be the first to support printing directly from iOS devices. Other companies' printers will most likely soon follow.

"AirPrint is Apple's powerful new printing architecture that matches the simplicity of iOS, no set up, no configuration, no printer drivers and no software to download. IPad, iPhone and iPod touch users can simply tap to print their documents or photos wirelessly to an HP ePrint printer or to a printer shared on a Mac or PC," said Philip Schiller, Apple's senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing.

HP may see an increase in their ePrint enabled printers' sales this holiday season due to the software release.

The executive vice president, Imaging and Printing Group, Vyomesh Joshi, is very pleased that Apple has chosen HP as the first printer lineup to be supported by the iOS release.

AirPrint may even boost the iPad's popularity with business people when it supports wireless printing. Previously, the iPad didn't let users print, making it a drag for people who made, saved, and edited documents on their iPads.

Microsoft Releasing Internet Explorer 9 - Competition for Chrome?

Microsoft will be officially launching Internet Explorer 9 later today. It looks as if it will be the most important Web browser launch this year. It seems that it will be the biggest redesign that Microsoft's browser has ever been through. Users will immediately notice the huge changes in the browser's interface, design and, most importantly, speed.

IE9 has trimmed its interface, it seems, as much as it's newer competitor, Google Chrome. The OneBox (Microsoft's combination of a search box and address bar), the tab bar and the navigation buttons have all been condensed to a single row. The status bar is long gone.

The only problem is that the address bar is on the same level as the tabs. That seems, to me, as a nuisance. I'm on a 24" screen, and I still manage to have enough tabs open that all you can see is the favicon (the little icon that shows up next to the title). That means that if the tabs are on the same level as the address bar, I lose valuable space.

Another new feature of IE9 is the ability to drag favicons to the taskbar in order to create pinned shortcuts. Some site even offer app-style page that can support Windows 7 jumplists. IE9 has been treating sites more like apps. It's an integral part of their modernization strategy, however, unlike Chrome (which allows you to do the same thing) IE doesn't take away any interface elements in "app" mode, whereas creating an "app" in Chrome removes all traces of the browser, except the title bar. This can be useful, but it can also be a nuisance, depending on how you look at it.

The most important feature of the new Internet Explorer, however, is its speed upgrades, and its support for new technologies like HTML5, which has been missing in IE for a while now. IE used to be the slow beast in the browser market.

The people who traditionally use IE are people who don't know how to download another browser, or, people who bought a computer in 1999 and haven't downloaded any updates since. Now, it seems that that's about to change. With these new speed, support, design, interface etc. changes, Internet Explorer 9 may be able to take on some of the top browsers such as Chrome 6 and Safari 5.

I'm a loyal Chrome fan, part of is that it's supported across Mac OSX and Linux operating systems, so, it may be a while before I personally adopt IE, however, for average/semi-advanced internet users IE9 may be just the thing. Either way, we're all excited to see how it all turns out. IE9 could be just the thing Microsoft needs to get themselves back in the Internet software market.

As we all have heard in the news Madonna's daughter, Lourdes Leon is attending school in New York. And just like a lot of teenagers across the country, she has an after school job. Only this after school job is a job we would all have not even considered a job. Her job is playing a role in the film that her mother is directing.

Now, this is a lucky job for the little starlet. She is only 13 years-old and is already going to be in a film. Obviously there are younger actors than her. But still, when I was 13, I was definitely not leaving school to go be a character in a film.

The children of celebrities have it pretty easy. They are born into fame and money. They really don't have to worry about anything besides to make sure they have friends that aren't just after their money or fame.

Most celebrities kids become famous just since their parents or one of their parents are famous. In a way its a little like cheating, since they didn't have to work to be famous or rich.

I really respect and look up to the people that become famous through their own work and effort. For example Jennifer Lopez. She became famous through her own efforts and her own work. She didn't have some parent that had all the connections, no, just the contrary.

Those are the types of celebrities that I really respect. Because the truth is, when you are the child of a celebrity you really don't have to work to become known. Just being born makes your automatically famous.

Hurricane Julia Now Category 4 - Tropical Storm Karl Moving Over Yucatan Peninsula

Hurricane Julia has become a category 4 hurricane, with winds of up to 135 miles per hour. Julia is now a pretty large hurricane, hurricane force winds extend outward up to 35 miles out from the center, while tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 115 miles from the center.

Julia is expected to retain its strength and intensity through the day, then it's forecast that the storm will storm will gradually weaken as it heads northwest at 15 miles per hour.

Hurricane Igor is also still a category 4 hurricane. Igor also has winds of up to 135 miles per hour. Hurricane force winds extend outward up to 45 miles from the center, while tropical storm force winds extend outward as much as 225 miles from Igor's center. This makes Igor a really big and powerful hurricane. It's a good thing that the storm is forecast to stay away from any land.

Igor is currently moving towards the west-northwest at about 8 miles per hour. This motion is expected to continue with a slight increase in forward speed, this may be accompanied by a slight turn towards the northwest.

Tropical Storm Karl is currently over the Yucatan Peninsula, it's expected that the storm will be on the other side by tomorrow morning.

Karl currently has winds of 60 miles per hour. It's not expected that the storm will strengthen again until its back over the water. It's forecast to weaken a little bit as it passes over the peninsula.

Tropical Storm Karl is expected to bring some pretty heavy rainfall over the Yucatan Peninsula, Belize, and northern Guatemala. Besides that, there will only be some strong winds and a storm surge. Flooding is possible along the coast. It's not expected, however, that Karl will do any major damage.

Karl has been strengthening for the past hour, and it is expected that the storm will continue strengthening a bit before it makes landfall on the Yucatan Peninsula. The center of Karl is expected to move into the southwestern Gulf of Mexico Wednesday night, or Thursday, after it passes over the Yucatan Peninsula as a tropical storm.

Tropical Storm Karl's maximum wind speeds are up to 45 miles per hour. Karl is currently moving west-northwest at about 15 miles per hour.

There are a few watches and warnings in effect.

A tropical storm warning is in effect for the east coast of the Yucatan Peninsula form Chetumal at the Mexico/Belize border to Cabo Catoche.

A tropical storm watch is in effect for the coast of northern Belize from Belize City to the Mexico/Belize border.

Tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 25 miles from the center of Tropical Storm Karl, so it's a pretty small storm. However, a storm surge is expected to produce some coastal flooding near and to the north of where the center of the storm makes landfall. The surge will be accompanied by large and damaging waves.

Karl is also expected to produce some heavy rainfall, with total rain accumulations of 3 to 5 inches over the Yucatan Peninsula, Belize, and northern Guatemala. This could include isolated maximums of 8 inches.

Twitter Announces New Website Design

Twitter has also told us that the site is "not a social network," rather, it's a site for sharing news.

The new design will include a toolbar like thing at the top, in this bar you will find @mentions, searches, retweets, and lists. It is above your timeline, this enables the sidebar to be clean and streamlined. You will still see the features that you're familiar with on the right such as whom you've recently followed, who recently followed you, favorites and trending topics.

Also, the right sidebar will be a details area for tweets. Twitter has partnered with Dailybooth, DeviantArt, Etsy, Flickr, Justin.TV, Kickstarter, Kiva, Photozou, Plixi, Twitgoo, TwitPic, Twitvid, USTREAM, Vimeo, Yfrog, and YouTube. This enables you to see embedded content from these sites, directly on Twitter. You just click on the tweet, and it all appears in the sidebar.

Also, when you click on a tweet, you will be able to see related content. Additional information will be displayed in the "details pane" with information relating to the author or the subject. Depending on the tweet's content, you may see @replies, other tweets by that user, a map of where a geotagged tweet was sent from etc.

Another new feature that will be rolling out as a part of this change is mini profiles. You can click on an @username to view a mini profile without navigating away from the page. This provides quick access to account information, including their bio and recent tweets.

The new Twitter will be rolling out as a preview over the next several weeks. During the preview users will be able to switch back and forth, this enables users to grow accustomed to the way the new Twitter works. Soon, everyone will have the updated version of Twitter.com.

Wal-Mart Brings out Its Own Wireless Service Plan

We all know Wal-Mart for being that live-saving store when you need something for a low price or you need something desperately and it is the middle of the night. Either way, Wal-Mart is very well known for its amazingly low prices.

Wal-Mart basically sells everything a person needs, from food, cleaning supplies, hygiene products, clothes, makeup, school supplies, to household wares. They even sell electronics and cell phones. The only thing they haven't sold up to this point was a wireless service plan.

Well leave it up to Wal-Mart and there you go, they now have their very own wireless service plan, for a very low amount per month. Obviously Wal-Mart doesn't have their own cell towers now. They are going to be running their service off of T-mobile's network.

The Wal-Mart Family Mobile plan doesn't require a contract agreement and you don't have to prepay either. It includes unlimited text messaging, but you will have to pay extra for data usage. The plan is only $45 per month.

Chase Website Down in a Lengthy Outage

Chase's online banking website has been down for most of Tuesday. The prolonged outage has been blamed on unspecified "technical issues," by the company. This outage has been criticized by many people, and many people are actually very upset with the banking giant.

The online banking service went down sometime on Monday night. Chase spokesman Tom Kelly said, "We're working on it, it's a top priority."

Chase has over 16.6 million online customers that use the service. That's a lot of people to inconvenience. In the meantime, during this outage, Chase is urging its customers to conduct their business at local bank branches or ATM. Or, they can use the company's phone service, which also remains unaffected by the crash.

The company's chief executive, Jamie Dimon, apologized for the disruption of the service at a banking conference in New York. The irony in this is that a part of his presentation was showing off the growth in Chase's online banking. It has expanded by more than 40% annually for the past four years.

Some customers were quick to tweet or blog about the annoyance.

Chase, get your f'n website back online. us' 2nd largest bank should be able 2 afford competent tech support," one user said on the micro blogging Web site.

"So far, this hasnt been that great of a bday. it was decent until chase wouldnt allow me to take out any $ from my account" Another unhappy customer said.

Well, I guess not, but this should definitely teach them the value thereof.

Obama's Second Annual Back-To-School Speech

Obama in my opinion is the best president the U.S.A has seen. He is smart, caring, kind, and he knows what's important in life. He has done so many things while he has been president and he has achieved such a strong fan-base. Of course there are those few people that don't like him for some reason or or other. But in my opinion I don't see how someone could not like this man. He is a pure genius.

Today Obama held on of the most amazing speeches I have ever personally read or heard. It was the second annual Back-To-School speech and it was held in Philadelphia.

This speech really touched me, since it gave me such comfort and hope in this nation once again. Obama stressed how important it is for the youth of today to continue on with their education and to excel in their education. He stressed that it is our responsibility to make sure we do well in life and that we do well in our education.

I feel that when Obama addresses the youth of the nation, it really communicates to them and they can accept it when it comes from him. It is very different when the President of the United States tells you he wants you to do well, than when your own mother or father tell you they want you to do well.

I think Obama created a huge impact with his speech today, at least it gave me a sort of wake-up call, so I am sure it woke up some other kids too.

Teen Develops iTunes Instant Search

Last week, Google launched its new Instant Search feature. This is supposed to shave off a few seconds off every search you do, resulting in billions of saved seconds for Google users. It basically starts searching as soon as you start typing, this enables you to scan through the results with each letter you type so you can refine your search as needed. It's not necessary to hit enter, this also shaves off some time in your search.

Now, a 15-year-old named Stephen Ou has developed a similar feature for Apple's iTunes. He says that he had been "irritated by iTunes' slow speed because there were always [a] few seconds of freeze/lack every time I was searching for a song/app to download/buy."

His version does basically the same thing as Google Instant, but instead of searching the web, it searches the iTunes store. It gives you results very quickly. I can actually say that it works better than iTunes' current search function.

Another selling point on his instant search engine for iTunes is the clutter free interface. It's simple, and clean, there is nothing confusing, or anything that is completely irrelevant.

It's also web-based, this means that you can use it wherever you go, and also, it's automatically faster than the native iTunes app.

Stephen says that Google Instant didn't really give him the idea. He had been thinking about it for some time, but with the release of Google Instant, he decided that he would really do it, and that it would feature an instant search function.

Twilight's Eclipse Comes to DVD in December

Ok so what is that one movie series that everybody has been going crazy about? If you guessed Twilight then you are 100% correct. Twilight has been this obsession that girls and guys alike have had for quite a while now. First people where obsessed with the books, but then when the movie came out it was a whole new obsession with the movie.

Now that there have been more than one Twilight movie, people are just ecstatic with joy. Finally this amazing love story between a human and vampire is coming alive in a movie.

People went crazy every time a new Twilight movie hit the theaters, but now I have some news that will make you go even crazier, Eclipse is coming to DVD on December 4th, 2010. That is only a few months away. You are only a few months away from personally owning the DVD.

I for one, am more of a fan of the books than the movies. The beauty of books are that you get to imagine the characters your way. Once a movie comes out about the characters in a book, it takes away the images that you imagined. It can also be disappointing sometimes.

It's not everybody that likes editing photos so much that they want to be able to do it wherever they go, but if you are one of those people, this app is definitely for you.

There are many tools you can use in this app. Some of them are basic, others are full scale professional tools. Listed below are some of them:

Jennifer Lopez To Be American Idol Judge

So the deal is official, Jennifer Lopez will be one of the new American Idol judges for season 10. She agreed to doing the judging and has a contract for $12 million. Wow! That is a lot of money to just judge and be on a show.

But the truth is, once you are famous and you really got talent, they start paying you the big bucks. In JLo's case, they pay her very high since this woman is one incredible woman. She isn't just your ordinary singer or actress.

JLo is very excited to be one the show. We don't know for sure who the other judges are going to be that she is judging with. But we will all soon find out.

American Idol will have a whole different feel to it with all the old judges gone and new judges like JLo to take over the show.

The State of Israel Purchases Twitter Account @Israel

The Twitter account, @Israel has been sold. To whom, you might ask. Yes, you guessed it, the government of Israel has purchased the account.

It used to be possible to get almost any username that you wanted on Twitter, that was before it had millions of users. Now you may have to try to pick a name more than ten times before you find on that's available. The user name, Israel, was snagged in 2007, before the Twitter explosion had occurred. It was taken by the Internet entrepreneur Israel Melendez.

He found himself facing a barrage of messages. Some of them were from anti-semitic users who thought that @Israel was the official Twitter account of the contentious state, however, little did they know, it wasn't.

For the above reason, Melendez refrained from using the account very often. When last month Israel, being eager to improve its social media and online presence, offered to purchase the account, Melendez gladly agreed. The amount was not disclosed, however, it must have been quite a bit to be able to make someone hand over such a valuable Twitter account.

The account has now officially changed hands. This means that haters can now send their messages to the country's government by Tweeting @Israel, however, I don't think that's too smart. Supporters, on the other hand, should show their support by following the account, and helping get it up there as one of the top Twitter accounts.

This is not the first time that a government has sought to improve its online presence through Twitter. Just last month, North Korea made itself a Twitter account to spread anti-U.S. and pro-a united Korea tweets all over the Internet.

There are many countries now on twitter, and it is pretty certain that the number of countries joining will rise. Almost all country names have been taken as Twitter usernames, so we will probably be seeing more deals like this taking place.

Ines Sainz Accepts Apology for Locker Room Incident

Ines Sainz has supposedly accepted the New York Jets owner Woody Johnson's personal apology for his team's inappropriate behavior during a practice on Saturday.

The incident that occurred was: Ines Sainz entered the locker room, and the whole team started to make jokes about her, and they talked about her. She decided not to pay attention. She was going to have an interview, so she decided to focus on that, and not on what people were saying about her.

She said, on CBS News' "The Early Show," "But I believe that the rest of the media start to hear the different kind of things that I didn't hear. And sometime in a minute, a colleague [said], 'Come with me, and I'm so sorry...It's terrible. I feel sorry for you.' So I tried to say, 'Don't worry, I can handle the situation.' And that's it. And I don't even try to pay attention."

She was not happy with the situation, however, she tried to pretend not to feel bad, so she wouldn't look bad on her work. She is a veteran reporter for TV Azteca. She has been covering sports for nine years, and she says that she trusts the NFL, and thinks that they will take appropriate action as a result of the incident.

"I really believe in what NFL decide[s]," she told the morning show. "I really believe that they find that they need to punish someone, they are going to do it. And if they find if it's not necessary, I really trust in what they say."

She doesn't plan on pursuing further legal action in the case, however, that doesn't mean that it's all fun and games for the team. They could still be in some serious trouble.

Wendy Murphy, a victim's rights advocate and also a former prosecuting attorney, told The Early Show that she thinks that if people around her saw what happened as sexual harassment, it could mean trouble for the team. This applies even if Sainz doesn't want to file a lawsuit.

Hurricane Julia Strengthening Over Atlantic

Tropical Storm Julia has now become Hurricane Julia. This happened through the night and early morning. Julia has currently sustained winds of up to 85 miles per hour, making the storm a category one hurricane on the Saffir-Simpson scale. Some additional strengthening is forecast for the next day or so, however after that it's expected that the storm will gradually weaken.

Hurricane Julia is currently moving west-northwest at 10 miles per hour. An increase in forward speed is expected in the next couple of days.

Hurricane force winds extend outward about 25 miles from the center, and tropical storm force winds extend outward about 105 miles. Julia isn't a very big hurricane, however, it's good to know where the storm is at. That way there aren't any dire surprises.

Meanwhile, Hurricane Igor continues as a category four hurricane with winds of up to 135 miles per hour. It's expected that there will be some fluctuations in intensity, however, it's certain that Igor will remain a dangerous hurricane over the next few days.

Hurricane force winds extend outward up to 50 miles from Igor's center, while tropical storm force winds extend up to 195 miles from the center. Igor is a relatively big hurricane, and is also very powerful. It's a good thing that the storm hasn't come close to land.

Hurricane Igor is moving west-northwest at about 7 miles per hour. It's expected that this general motion will continue through today, but on Wednesday the storm is forecast to make a turn towards the northwest.

It's still not expected that Igor will make landfall. It's expected that the storm will just stay over the water of the Atlantic, and continue on its track northwest, dying down before it hits anything.

Oprah Winfrey Surprises Audience with Trip to Australia

Oprah Winfrey, the queen of daytime television, is know for her grand gestures. She is especially know for these gestures on "The Oprah Winfrey Show," where she continues to give away incredible gifts to her audience. For the final season premiere of her talk show Oprah is gifting everyone in the audience to a trip to Australia with her.

"Because, after all, this really is my 25th season and this is really my last chance to do something really big," she said about her gesture, according to The New York Daily News.

There will be two episodes of "Oprah's Ultimate Australian Adventure," which will feature her biggest fans down under in places such as the Sydney Opera House. The trip will take place this coming December.

Oprah said in a statement, "It's one of the places I've always wanted to visit, and who better to take with me on this trip of a lifetime than some of my most loyal viewers. My team has been planning this trip for almost a year and we are so excited."

It must be exciting, that was quite a big audience. It will most likely be a grand trip, the greatest one she's ever taken.

After airing the episode, Oprah tweeted that she was very happy that no one let the news of the trip leak before the show aired. "Audience--it's unbelievable that you kept that secret all weekend long!! Way to go mates," she tweeted.

She began the episode with John Travolta, who has been on of her favorite guests throughout the years of "The Oprah Winfrey Show."

At the end of episode, Travolta showed up again, as the "pilot" of the plane to Australia. It was a very effects filled entrance, the walls opened behind Oprah, and the plane came in, it was very exciting.

25 years is a very long time for something to continue. A friendship that makes it to the 25th year mark is a very good friendship and has seen a lot. A marriage that lasts 25 years has help up through the good and bad times of life. And even a company that holds up through 25 years has gone through its own ups and downs.

Today 25 years ago Super Mario Brothers the video game was released in Japan. It was released on September 13th, 1985. This game has sold 40 million games of the original version worldwide.

Super Mario Brothers has been a very popular video game for over these 25 years and even today people still love to play it.

Of course other things have taken over the success of Mario Brothers such as the Wii and other video games, but even with all the new games, Mario Brothers still remains as a top video game.

Part of the reason Mario Brothers is so successful is that the game is actually really easy, and it doesn't take a long time to learn how to play.

Girls and boys alike like to play Super Mario Brothers, its not just this game that only boys will play. No, no a lot of girls prefer this game over a lot of other games.

Amazon Exposes iPad Flaw in Kindle TV Commercial

Today Amazon showed TV viewers which product it thinks is its biggest competition for its Kindle, not the Nook or some other e-reader, it's the Apple iPad. In a TV ad that played on Good Morning America, they outed the iPad in a Kindle vs. iPad video.

Many people know that the iPad's one biggest flaw is the inability to do very well in direct sunlight. Often times, users find themselves looking at themselves instead of what they want to read. The problem is that with the iPad's screen, which is just like the iPhone's, without the retina display, is that it can't work without using its backlight. That is because the screen is made of pixels, not little balls that have white on one side, and black on the other.

That's also the reason why the Kindle's battery life is so long, it doesn't have to power each pixel, it just has to turn them over--that's the basic principal behind e-ink.

In the video--which, by the way, we have embedded on the next page--you see two people lying at the poolside. A man, who looks rather geeky, has the Apple iPad in his hand, and a well dressed woman, with nice big sunglasses, is holding her Amazon Kindle. You see the man trying to see something other than his reflection in his device, while the woman is just reading pleasantly.

He asks her how she can read her device, she replies that "it's a kindle" and it only costs $139, as opposed to the iPad's price tag of $499. "I actually paid more for these sunglasses," she adds.

Well, that's quite a slap in the face for Apple, however, they could just as well run their own ad in which the the sun has gone down, and the lady can't read anything while the man is reading along pleasantly, maybe even watching a video, or surfing the internet... maybe, maybe he could even be reading through the Kindle app for iPad.

See, there's flaws to both devices, it just depends on what you need most. If you're a total book lover who can read for hours on end, you will be able to settle for the Kindle, which is also a lot cheaper. However, if you are, on the other hand, an internet geek who spends three quarters of their day online, you will probably want to go with the iPad.

Katherine Schwarzenegger Authors Her First Book

Katherine Schwarzenegger, the daughter of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver has written her first book. It's titled "Rock What You've Got: Secrets to Loving Your Inner and Outer Beauty." It will be hitting bookstores next week.

Katherine is one of those girls who has very big shoes to fill when it comes to her family and her parent's accomplishments. Her father is a legendary actor, former Mr. Universe/Mr. Olympia, and the current Governor of California. Her mother is an award-winning journalist who has authored six best selling books.

Katherine Schwarzenegger is currently only 20 years old. She has not let her young age get in the way of her writing her first hardback.

The book's goal is aimed at helping girls gain confidence in their bodies and themselves. Katherine says that part of the motivation for the book was overhearing her preteen cousins talking about their desires to be thin and "sexy." She also had to be "perfect" for the public as a teen, so she has an understanding of how it can be for a girl to want to be perfect, and beautiful.

The book will be Katherine Schwarzenegger's first. She is a junior at the USC Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism. She has definitely been following in the footsteps of her parents, especially her mother's.

Pirates of The Caribbean 4 Update

Pirates of the Caribbean came one a few years back and was a great hit. People loved the first movie and it got great reviews. Then the second movie came out and people were super excited for it since the first movie was so good.

The second movie was good, but just not as good as the first one. Then a little while after that the third movie of the series came out.

The third Pirates of the Caribbean movie, in my mind was a bit confusing and very dark. It didn't have the same qualities and same greatness as the first movie. But nevertheless it made money and lots of people saw it since it was kind of like a must-see movie, since they had seen the first and second movie.

Now, a fourth Pirates of the Caribbean is in the making. Yes, number 4. The release date for this one is May 20th 2011. So in other words, next Spring.

I will definitely go see this movie since I have seen all the other three and I really want to see what happens between Captain Jack Sparrow ( Johnny Depp) and his former love interest played by Penelope Cruz.

The only thing that I am not to big of a fan of this that Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley will both not be in this fourth movie. I really liked their characters and they are a huge part of the whole Pirates of the Caribbean story.

Even though they will not be in the fourth movie, I'm sure it will still be great.

Chattanooga Claims Fastest Internet Speeds: One-Gigabit-Per-Second

You would think that the country's or maybe even the world's fastest internet connection would be in Silicon Valley, or maybe New York. Maybe even in Tokyo, Japan, however, that's not the case. The fastest Internet connection speed can be found in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

The unlikely small city of Chattanooga began offering one-gigabit-per-second internet upload and download speeds on Monday. A rate they claim to be the fastest in the United States, and 250 times the average internet speed in the nation.

For a second you may think, "Oh that's not that great," but then it hits you: imagine, you purchase your favorite movie on iTunes, for example, and you're so excited to see it, you can't even wait. You click "Purchase Movie" and boom! It's there, on your computer, ready to watch without any stops. Now that's what I call cool, and fast, of course.

The mayor of the city, Ron Littlefield said the following about the internet speed:

"It's like any other leading technology, people will invent ways to use it, and having it here will bring those inventive minds to focus in Chattanooga."

Now, Chattanooga is a city of 170,000 people, so it's not exactly the biggest city, so it could happen that they just give the cue to other bigger cities who will then start raising their internet speeds. However, for Chattanooga's sake, we will hope that that's not the case.

The extremely fast internet does not come cheap, however. EPB, the city-owned company that is offering the one-gig speeds will charge around $350 per month for the service.

That's a lot of money to pay on a monthly basis for internet. You could buy a lot for that amount per month. However, the main focus will not be on residents, rather on companies who will actually have a valuable use for the high speed.

The mayor himself will not be getting the one-gig internet for his residence, as he has no current use for it. He says, "I don't think I need one gig right now," he said. "I'd need it for about five minutes and I could download the entire text of the Library of Congress [in that time] and that would be enough. I already have the 30-megabyte [per second] service and it's lighting fast."

He does believe that there are many people who will be able to utilize it, including doctors and engineers who will be able to stream three-dimensional imaging over the web, and discussing it. That is an example of what it could be used for.

His current internet bill is under $60 per month, which is the average broadband cost in America. This means that the new $350 internet plan will probably only be purchased by companies and wealthy residents, that is, if they can find a use for it.

Still, it's innovation, and it's pretty fantastic as just a few years ago, one-megabyte internet speed was considered absolutely amazing.

Lady Gaga What Awards She won at the VMAs

Lady Gaga has officially become the newest pop princess of the world. She has made some sort of impression, good or bad on everyone of us. You either dislike her strongly or you love her. Of course there are some people in between that don't really care about her but they don't have a strong hatred of her.

Personally, Lady Gaga in my mind just never ends to fascinate me. The things she wears and does are just so out there. I would never ever be able to think of them. The fact that she does, shows she is on creative lady. I love her music and I like the fact that she writes her own lyrics.

I like when artists make their own music and they communicate what they want to communicate. Lady Gaga is one of those artists who definitely does a good job communicating what she wants to communicate.

Last night, she won 8 awards at the VMAs, this goes to show that Lady Gaga is definitely successful. Winning 8 awards is such a huge accomplishment. She really has done a great job this year. Below I am going to list all the awards that she won.

Apple iPad Sales to be Launched in China

Today, Apple Inc. announced that Wi-Fi models of its iPad will be available for customers in China from Apple Retail Stores and Apple Authorized Resellers. They will be available on Friday, September 17, with sales beginning at 10:00 AM. This means that all the Chinese people who have been waiting to purchase an iPad, but didn't want to buy one for up to $1000 on the "gray market" will now have a chance.

The iPads will be sold at an 18% premium over the United States price. The 16GB model will be priced at 3,988 Yuan ($590) and the 64GB model will be priced at 5,588 ($826). That's quite a bit more expensive than the United States prices that are between $499 and $699, however, I'm sure it's worth it to them. After all, it's cheaper than what they would be paying if they didn't buy it legitimately.

The Cupertino, California company plans to open an additional 25 new Apple Store is China by the end of next year, as the only have 2 currently open in the country. In China, Apple has less than 1% market share in all of the personal computer shipments. That's much less than the share they enjoy on the U.S.

The iPad may drive more customers to Apple's App Store in China. It's not as popular amoung Chinese iPhone users as users elsewhere as it isn't available in Chinese. Many iPhone users in China have opted to hack their iPhones and get pirated applications instead of having to have a dual-currency credit card, which is necessary for users to purchase apps on the App Store in China.

Apple has a huge market available in China, they just have to hurry up and get their stores open. Also, they have declined to say when an iPad with cellular capabilities will be released in China. This would also be an important step for getting the iPad to really fly in China.

Katy Perry Truly In Love With Russell Brand

Like all important events the VMAs are very important for the awards that are won, but more importantly than the awards are what the stars wear to these events.  Surely we all saw the gowns and dresses but maybe one thing that was missed were the nails of one of our favorite artists, Katy Perry.

Katy Perry is engaged to be married this fall to Russell Brand and their love is true.  Katy's nails said it all, she had white nails with Russell Brand detailed on them. Some nails had his face and others had his whole body. They looked very good and they were expertly done.

I have seen a lot of different nail jobs done, but this one is by the far the craziest and coolest idea I have seen in a long time.

I like Katy's style of dressing and accessorizing since she doesn't go way over the top but she also doesn't do too little. She looks very different than a lot of stars but she doesn't stand out completely like Lady Gaga. I mean Lady Gaga, that is a whole different story.

I'm sure Russell was flattered by Katy's nails, they were a nice touch to her outfit and were a perfect way to communicate cuteness. The star that had the most creative nails at the VMAs would definitely be Katy Perry.

YouTube Trials New Live Streaming Function

YouTube is testing a relatively broad live-streaming platform. It started at 11:00 AM EST this morning. it will involve content streamed from YouTube's partners: Howcast, Rocketboom, Next New Networks and Young Hollywood. YouTube will be working with this trial to test how people will use it, and whether it will be accepted. The new platform integrates live streaming directly into YouTube channels. All broadcasters need is a webcam or an external USB/FireWire camera. Included in this trial will be a "Live Comments" module. This "lets you engage with the broadcasters and the broader YouTube community," says a YouTube blog.

This offering will only be available for today and tomorrow. Based on the results of this first test, YouTube says, they will evaluated rolling out the platform to a broader audience and to more partners.

This test is similar to the State of the Union address which was stremed earlier this year. It also enabled users to interact by posing questions during the speech, via either video or text.

This new trial will see how users on YouTube except live-streaming. It will probably leave people waiting for more. It's the one major feature that YouTube has yet to widely implement, and it's sure that users want it as it adds a whole different dimension to the video sharing site. It adds interactivity to the site, and will probably end up with lots of people having live political debates.
